Quirky Designer Masaba tied knot to producer Madhu mantena and the reception was grand affair with many bollywood celebrities in attendance. Masabas complete wedding looks and style have already been discussed about on our blog here and in this post we will focus on what the guests wore.



I did not connect much with Masaba Guptas wedding style as I found it too contemporary and futuristic but the guests attending her reception balanced things out well turning up in the ethnic best outfits. The outfits worn by bollywood guests were tradition with a touch of modernity which is what i expected Masaba to try. But anyway what is done is done and Iam no one to dictate to Masaba as to what she should wear on her important day so here i bring to you details on what the guests wore so you can inspire yourself for the upcoming wedding season.

T-series chairmen Bhusan Kumars sister Tulsi Kumar tied the knot to Hitesh Rahlan last month.If you dont know already Tulsi Kumar is a bollywood playback singer and her wedding reception was a star studded lavish affair attended by a huge number of bollywood stars and so here is the mandatory who wore what.

The Bride Tulsi wore a champagne gold lehenga with embellishments and floral detailing. I love the colour and the Chura goes very well with the lehenga, but i feel the jhoomar should have been skipped. But ofcourse she is the bride and going over the top is always excused. The Groom wore a blue floral detailed kurta which was a nice contrast to the bride.


Esha Gupta wore a blue Manish Malhotra lehenga with a pink choli.  Her make up was good but i think she should have opted for silver based earrings. She looked good despite those earrings and the dupatta was very nice.. love it






Sonakshi Sinha wore a blue Anita Dongre lehenga draping the dupatta in half sari style. Love the colour on her and the hair though good i wish she gives us a short hair with ethnic wear look soon.



Ameesha Patel wore a blue manish malhotra lehenga . The lehenga had yellow patchwork which could work well for ameesha only if her make up was a little less tacky! A dupatta is badly missed here. Like her bangles though .







Shradda kapoor wore a pastel floral sequined manish malhotra anarkali which she paired with open hair and diamond earrings. Her make up was lackluster the whole look lacked colour. A dull choice for a wedding


Sonali Bendre came across as  a fresh breathe in a floral embroidered suit which she paired with Mc queen clutch . Love her simple look but  wish she has not chosen a bow shoes.


Jaqueline Feranandes opeted for a white and royal blue Arpita Mehta lehenga. I love her look, looks so breezy and event appropriate. Extra love for her jhumkas.. they go into my lust list.



Suuny leone wore a peach leheng which was a good choice showing off curves nicely.



 Who do you looked the best at this wedding? I dont know about the best but the award for worst clearly goes to Divya khosla! 

These days there are unlimited award functions when it comes to bollywood movies, but Filmfare has always been special and ranks right on top for me.  The credit goes to hosting of Shah rukh khan  and saif ali khan which iam a fan of . This year the 60th edition of filmfare awards were held yesterday and were not hosted by the dashing duo (sniff sniff) but there was some amazing fashion on display and that was enough to keep me interested. 
The star studded night saw many celebrities like   sonam kapoor, madhuri dixit , vidya balan, kalki, kirti sanon among others so lets get to seeing who wore what shall we? 
Sonam Kapoor stuck to her favorite designer Anamika khanna. Experimenting like only she can she set the red carpet on fire in an anamika cape coupled with quite a lot of sunita kapoor jewels and . A beautiful updo and ankle strap heels finished out her very different fashionable look.  A look only Sonam can pull off.. There is so much going in there with 3 necklaces, earrings , that satiny skirt and a bra kinda top but sonam hold it together well.  Iam Loving the cape looks a lot which are so different from sarees and gowns. Also major love for those bangles.

And vidya balan does the same , sticks to her comfort zone  turning up in a gold sari with a blue blouse. I dont have a problem with wearing sarees but she can atleast put in effort drape the saree well and get a fitted blouse . But i liked her hair do and earrings but the whitish make up makes it all go down the drain. Overall a disaster.

Dia Mriza like Vidya picked a saree for the event but the end result was amazing. The colour of her sari, make up, jewellery all work in this look. major love for the jhumkas

Amrita roa wore a flared out Ashita narang red gown. Her make up was a bit too much for the bright dress. if she skipped that blue eye shadow this could be a better look but as it stands it is too much to take in.

So everyone is getting a new look by trimming their hair these days!. Nargis Fakhri looked every bit a disaster in her harem pants look . The fringe just dint gel with the look, the make up was too lackluster .
Tabu sparkled in a black vizyon dress. Bright red lip , box clutch and side swept hair finished out her look. Iam loving her make up she looks great . The dress isnt that good, but Tabu makes it work.

Madhuri dixit looks absolutely lovely in her blue jade gown . Side swept hair and red lips finshed out her elegant look.

Neha Dhupia looked every bit of a fashionista in her gown with huge bow detailing. Smokey eyes, updo and a black clutch, neha works this one like no one can.


Sonali Bendre looked a picture of class and elegance in an orange dress paired with gold cuff and clutch.  Her sleek her and smokey eyes only added to the elegance. love.
Kirti Sanon wore a mint green gown from my favourite collection (gauri and nainika) . Love the colour on her, the braid and the bright lip worked well with the mint gown.


Kajol picked a princessy gown from shantanu and nikhil . A dark lip and side pony finished the loo. she looked good.


Kalki wore a fusion pant sari and added loads of jewellery to the look. The outfit itself was a bad pick and the whole styling made it a tacky affair

Shradda kapoor kept it simple in her white gown. love her minimal make up

Who do you think was the best dressed? I think sonam easily takes the cake thanks to her polished experiment. Apart from her Madhuri and Dia mirza also cut a classy picture.

Shatrughan Sinha's son Kush Sinha tied the knot and the wedding reception was a starry affair with many bollywood celebs gracing the event to bless the newly weds.
It is literally raining weddings in bollywood I tell you. After Arpita Khan, Riddhi malhotra now kush Sinha if was invited to so many wedding I would definitely go zombie at figuring out what to wear. Lets get to seeing what the celebs showed up in.

The Bride Taruna wore a pink and silver floor length ensemple . I love this outfit but the hair do on Taruna could have been better, the side swept hair is hiding a lot of jewellery and dupatta. Or may be this was just a pic captured in hurry as we do not have better photos of the bride to confirm

Sonaksi Sinha the grooms sister wore a salmon pink manish malhotra lehenga.  The lehenga has a satiny feel to it which I quite dislike also the way Sonakshi draped her dupatta isnt my favourite. But overall Sonakshi looked great and accessorized the Reception look well. She of course has hair extensions on but I would have loved her to style ethnic outfits with short hair. It would stand out with a certain spunk. what say?


Tanisha Attended the wedding in a yellow Payal Singhal with dangler earrings and a gold box clutch.  Hair in an updo and Bold red lips finished out TAnishas look. I love this colour on her and the blouse is great too. Not liking the Lehenga much also her make up is so wrong. Red lips was so not required here.

Taking the risky route in a Gaurav gupta fusion sari Divya Khosla kumar sure grabbed eye balls. The Burgandy saree was paired with a belt and a gold neck piece. Middle parted hair and perfect make up make this look a winner waist up . Waist down the sheer element makes things look tacky especially since this was a wedding not an awards night.

Like a broken tape on repeat mode Rekha stuck to her style. All gold, maroon lips and mogra in hair. That neck piece is driving me crazy. why would anyone wear such a piece . Why is she wearing sindoor. enlighten me anyone?

Kajol was spotted in a gold Sabyasachi saree paired with red blouse. Her hair was in an updo with red lips and a kada.  While the saree was good I dint like the styling. The hair do was  too harsh and earrings were missed dearly. (sorry cant find better pics of her)

A lot of anticipation was wrapped around these awards and the anticipation came to an end on sunday January 11, the red carpet was dazzling with nervous men and beautifully dresses women !
But there are always the hits and miss’s at an award function! Lets see who made it to the best dresses and who took a downturn to the Blah dressed category according to us ;)

Best dressed :

Emma Stone in a jumpsuit by Lanvin was the best of the best dressed woman on the red carpet ! She tops are chart by bagging the first place ! Her jumpsuit was a refreshing change from all the gowns and dresses ! Love the way she keeps it stylish yet youthful !

Ellie Kemper glowed in a beaded, cap-sleeved Naeem Khan dress, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch! love the way she rocks the red lipstick with the gown! Must say she nailed it! Effortless!

Felicity Jones in a Cinderella-esque custom Christian Dior  couture ball gown. The unique neckline, the pure beauty of the fabric itself, its drape, and the shoulder sleeve design were all details that leant to it being our crowned as our favourite. She looked every bit the sophisticated and classy woman.

Amy Poehler looked beautifully stunning in her Blue modest gown! Love the jewellery ! The blue brings out the color of eyes ! Not many could’ve pulled of this look but she does effortlessly!

Anna Kendrick arrived in a Monique Lhuillier gown.The 29-year-old actress wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown and swept us away by sporting the blush tulle gown making us believe in magic ;)

Singer Lorde wore a custom suiting ensemble from Narciso Rodriguez. ... Mostly, she looked like an individual with a point of view, rather than a dress-up doll who chose a gown! She not only rocked the custom made tuxedo but bowled everybody off by pairing it up with a beautiful Cleopatra neckpiece. To complete it she pulled her hair

The 45-year-old actress ,Jennifer Lopez strikes a pose in her gorgeous Zuhair Murad gown with thigh high slit!

Kate Hudson chose to wear a White Hot Versace snug fit gown which looked absolutely sinful on her !

Diane Kruger attended the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards wearing a flawless Emilia Wikstead dress,a dazzling box Emm Kuo clutch along with jewelry from kwiat and MArina B

Julianne Moore wore a Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown and jewellery by Chopard. She definitely was a cutting picture at the red carpet !

Chrissy Teigen looked stunning in a soft pink Zuhair Murad gown. The model owned every inch of that dress!

Amy Adams wore a Versace gown accessorized with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.Amy Adams poses with her Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical for her role in Big Eyes.

The ones who got the *YAWN * from us and we are sure they have a Yawn –sambhand ;)

Jennifer Aniston wore a black Saint Laurent gown. She played it safe , we just wish she had experimented atleast with her !

Rosamund Pike attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the ...Hills, California in a Vera Wang gownI would question whether she even tried it on, but it was custom made for her!Wholly unflattering, maybe my worst dressed. She looks so boxy !

Pregnant Keira Knightley looked beautiful neck up but the dress which was revealed later to have taken more than 30 days to be put together looked like what the heyy on her ! Not helping her even a bit!

Lana Del Rey looks washed out in this mermaid like gown oh wait mermaids feel bad we compared her with the mermaids :P

Amal Clooney wore a train black dress by Dior Haute Couture with a Dior white clutch and Harry Winston diamonds earrings. Those ugly opera gloves! My eyes my eyes ! Her curves just don’t seem to fill in the gown around the chest…bad fit..plain classic pick which lackluster. We have seen Amal do much better!We would also like to see her wear a few of the Lebanese designer outfits! She must experiment more!
