Best Bridal Buys from Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2015
September 23, 20150 Comments
Lakme Fashion week Winter / festive 2015 concluded ages ago (20 days to be precise ) but that doesnt stop me from compiling a list of the best of bridal couture showcased on the runaway .

There was a lot of ethnic bridal styles presented on the ramp and my favourites Anuhree Reddy , Ridhi Mehra, Arpita Mehta and Payal Singhal all has some generous doses of  festive ethnic wear sprikled in their collection which got me all excited. Apart from the usual designers i always turn to, designers like Neeta Lulla, Abu Jaini sandeep khosla and divya reddy also showcased creations which caught my interest. So without ranting more here i present to you my absolute ethnic favorites from Lakme Fashion week Winter/ Festive 2015.

Neeta Lulla :

Tailor made for the contemporary bride Neeta Lulla's collection was a delightful treat to eyes with lace, bling, pastels and chiffon. Ive already covered the entire collection in a separate post here  . Love how this pastel saree comes together with that blouse.

Arpita mehta : The mirror work from Arpita Mehta iam always a fan off but her lehengas were mostly in black which isnt considered too auspicious in India

This creation i just loved. Capes are totally in and now wear them even with your chudidaar suit. Love the colour, cut, work on sleeves and ofcourse the cape

Ridhi mehra : I loved every piece from Ridhi Mehras collection but not everything was bridal stuff . Here are the selected few which i thought were wedding appropriate.

Signature shoulder floral detailing goes huge , the colour pops and the top design is super funky.Grab this for your mehendi i say!

Marsala is the pantone colour of the year and Ridhi Mehra brings you lehengas in just that colour! I love the floral detailing and the drape.

This one is probably a predraped lehenga , fuss free and perfect for your winter wedding

Velvet and lace comes togtehr beautifully in this marsala lehenga

Anushree Reddy stuck to her netted lehengas and florals in girly colours.

Love this lehenga in which Amy jackson walked for her . (The entire collection is covered here)

Divya Reddy did pastels and had amazing detailing on borders in her collection. There was too much of yellow in her collection giving me mehendi or haldi kind of vibes.

I just loved this simple lehenga with embellished dupatta and the drape is just WOW.

AM:PM dont do too much bridal or ethnic but this peplum creation i had to include in here.

Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla presented a retro glam collection which had plenty of bridal options featuring shimmer, mirror work, embellishments , thread work, ruffles and layers.

This mint lehenga with mirror work is just amazing. Love it, especially the blouse.

This gown in white and beige with chikankari work and subtle bling is sheer beauty.

Payal singhal also dint have much of bridal but i love her crafmanship and this lehenga is so beautiful. Red yet well suited for the contemporary bride who wants zero bling.

Neeta Lulla ofcourse no introduction in the bridal designer world and her show on Lakme Fashion week was a contemporary brides delight. Lets start with my favourite from the collection . I loved this pastel saree, the embroidery and the lace pallu. The blouse was refreshing and elegant, more love for that.

contemporary twitst to the blouse with floor length sleeves and zipped up front.

And a cape style lehenga is here and loving this off beat rust colour

Love this sharara by Neeta lulla. Biege with blue and pink dupatta fit in nicely

This is rich in colours

Love this simple lehenga with laser cut kind of fabric and sequined blouse.

And yellow with horse motifs and cut out long sleeves

Anushree Reddy at Lakme Fashion Week - Winter/Festive
September 11, 20150 Comments
No one does florals and pastels on bridal wear like Anushree Reddy does. I just love the feminine wearable net lehengas Anushree Reddy creates and it was what she stuck to in her latest collection at Lakme Fashion week.

The Collection titled 'The Oasis at Sunset' had abundance of lehenga and crop top pairing in peaches, pastels pinks and nudes. Having followed Anushree reddy and designs for quiete sometime now i feel this collection was a bit repitatitive and there nothing too new in it but who cares when everything she dishes out is so elegant, wearable and girly.

Feminine elegance is what Anushree excels in and this embellished pretty pink lehenga with a sexy bikini style blouse is all that and more. This lehenag in which Amy jackson walked for Anushree Reddy could be worn for your Wedding reception, engagement or even your sangeet, whatever the occasion it will sure make you grab all the limelight!  The blouse maybe a bit too much skin show especially for a bride at an indian wedding but iam sure stores can customize it as per your needs.
Iam totally dreaming of myself in this outfit. Loads of love for it

Anushree Reddy  also did an ombre white and yellow semi sheer lehenga  with crop top choli. This outfit is perfect for a mehendi

And the trademark florals in blouse  .

This saree is simple yet the floral blouse gives it a fun edge. Must have for your trousseau

Another outfit for Mehendi

Loving this flared out soft pink lehenga with floral blouse . Also that addition of floral dupatta is nice touch

Vintage florals in a lehenga , this one is pure destination wedding stuff

I was hoping for more mints and lavenders and finally here is a glimpse

And some reds with chiffon embellished dupatta

10 favourites from Lakme Fashion Week resort 2015
April 05, 20150 Comments
I know this post on Lakme fashion week is coming late, really , really late, Infact a post on amazon india Fashion Week will also be be considered late but it has been a busy March with a wedding in family and so much going on with my life offline.

The LFW resort 2015 had many drool worthy creations so i couldnt resist this post even though it is coming late.  Lakme Fashion week completed 15 years this march and this edition had 84 designers showcasing their creations in about 45 shows. choosing only 10 outfits was task in itself but i curated this list by adding a little bit of funky, a little of ethnic and lots of feminine stuff.

So here you go , 10 o the seasons hottest creations straight from the runaway.

I have  a weakness for asymmetrical hemlines and when i saw this by Iika can you stop me from not lusting over it?

This Neha Aggarwal creation spells summer. Love the summery colour and the prints.

Iam loving kaftans these and this icy blue number with its layers and flare is an Epic Win . This is from Arunima Majhi.

everything from anushree reddy made it to my drool list. Her dreamy ethnic wear was amazing and cant really pick one but i picked this icy blue fusion lehenga and crop top kanika kapoor wore. (visit here for complete Anushree Reddy collection coverage on my personal blog )

I love Ridhi mehra and her collection was a favourite too. I loved this cape look in pastel green. Cape sarees have been popularised by sonam and anamika but i dint care much for them until i spotted this, id wear this happily.  (actually i shuld have covered her whole collection individually , but its kind of late already)

This is another cape half saree look from shilpa reddy

Another cape by the queen of cape thing, anamika Khanna. Love deepika padukone in this anamika black creation

Manish Malhotra brings in fringe and iam loving it

Breezy and feminine pastel lehenga from payal Singhal . The belted wait and the cropped top makes it perfect for moderm summer brides.

Arpita mehta had  a lot of  mirrored florals, tulle and aplliques in her collection. Difficult to pick just one here again.   i pick this sheer anarkali with a slit. love the hint of colour in this.

now that is my list of favourites . Do you like anything from my list? please do share in comments below.

Stay sparkling
