The Super Gel Matic liner in Deep Brown is THE BEST eye pencil I have ever tried! It's pure love and something which suits all occasions. This has become a wardrobe staple for me now. It's quite pigmented and doesn't sting your eyes and the staying power is also cool. A must buy.

*L'Oreal Paris Infallible Monos Pebble Grey 020 Review:
I am not too fond of L'Oreal's Infallible range and this was the biggest disappointment! PATHETIC is the word.
- Takes at least 5 swipes for the colour to show
- This shade looks ghastly. Like your Kajal has smudged and spread everywhere.
- It stings your eyes
- The staying power is laughable for this price. Doesn't stay even for 1/2 an hour! >_<

If I hadn't got a 40% discount on this box, it would have killed me to have paid for this Infallible Eyeshadow in Pebble Grey.

Iam not a fan of Aishwarya rai or her fashion sense. She doesnt do the best of fashion  not in India anyway ( with her anarkalis) but her last years Cannes in Roberto Cavalli was amazing and that definitely had my expectations up for this year and she definitely did not disappoint.

I always begin with the First Red carpet appearance but here i want to make a change and begin with Ash's second Red carpet appearance which was both dramatic and stunning.




For the screening of 'Youth' Aishwarya walked Red carpet in a ruffles Ralph Russo couture. The white gown with black detailing was finished out with nude lips and open side parted curls . The gown  isnt easy to pull off with all its ruffles , slit and dramatic bust but Aishwarya carries it off with utmost ease and elegance . The make up is perfect and Aishwarya totally owns this look. This is the best Cannes 2015 look for me . Also 2nd best Ashwarya red carpet look coming second only to her Roberto cavalli gown.

At the screening of carol at 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival Aishwarya opted for a teal elie saab . This isnt the best Elie saab out there but i have to give it to Aishwarya for choosing it over a normal gown.  i do have issues with make up especially her maroon lipstick. The eye make up was dramatic and overdone . The hair here were again in soft curls. Aishwarya again totally rocks this one all thanks to her grace and beauty.




In a Maroon Oscar de La renta gown for Photo call of her upcoming film Jazba aishwarya rai totally killed it. I love the colour on her , the make up is flawless. The hair again in soft curls  this gown may be a bit too much for a photo call but who cares its cannes! And is this woman ageing backwards? she 40 or 25?




Aishwarya was also spotted in a georges Chakra gown with nude lips and middle parted hair. The gown again was dramatic and i wouldnt complain if it was a red carpet apperance. But Ash looked great



Aishwarya also wore a floral sabyasachi jumpsuit. I dint like this appearance much and that was a lot of print to take in. But the make up was amazing.


Aishwarya had a fabulous run at cannes this year . She was by far the best dressed surpassing Sonam Kapoor even! But i do wish she experimented even with her hair. If you wanted me to pick the best then it had to be the Ralph Russo white ruffled gown. But i love her maroon oscar de la renta look equally.

Iam a Sonam Kapoor Fan girl and it is no secret and obviously it was Sonams Red carpet appearance that i was looking forward to most at Cannes. Sonam always manages to do something different when at cannes  I loved both her red carpet looks from Cannes last year ,  her Anamika Khanna was path breaking  the elie saab was pure elegance. (Catch complete coverage of 2014 here). So what did the desi fashionista turn up in this year? did she live up to her image and expectations? lets find out

Sonam chose an electric blue Ralph Russo Couture gown for her first red carpet appearance at the 'sea of trees' premiere at the Cannes film festival.  The dramatic gown with its balloon like detailing was finished out with chopard earrings, matching sandals and side swept hair.
The blue was striking colour and her hair was done fabulously. The make up is what i had issues with! Ironical how Sonam is at cannes as a make up brands( LO'real) brand ambassador and her make up is what pulled this look notches down. The coral lip doesnt work, her cheeks are over bronzed and her dark circles are on verge of showing up.
The gown itself wasnt my cup of tea, i hated the bottom half of it, the trail wasnt good either but the overdone make up is what really stands out in the wrong way in here. Better make up would mean this look would go up as another of her Epic cannes wins! But as it stands the look was good, Sonam true to her image despite make up issues pulls this off like only she can . I'll take this over boring stuff Katrina wore anyday.







For her second red carpet appearance Sonam Kapoor disappointed big time in an over dramatic lime green Elie Saab Couture. Firstly i was expecting an indian fusion wear like the Anamika saree gown from last year but sonam went for the most disastrous gown out there . The feathered bust was definitely overkill and the hemline wasnt helping either, total Lady Gaga vibes here . Going for middle parted sleek hair also couldnt balance the volume of the gown . Pink lip and chopard earrings finished this look for sonam.











The make in this look was better than the blue gown look but i sonam still looked tired .A better make up could have done wonders! Loreal are you reading? (even Katrinas make up wanst any good BTW) And again Sonam also has her hair coloured, wonder whats happening.

Apart from the red carpet appearances sonam was spotter at after party and press meets where again sonam went overboard , in a nice way that is but her recent excessive boob show bothers me.

For Chef Vikas Khannsa book unvieling sonam showed up in cream Ashi Studio dress with plunging neckline. Loved this look and the styling here. It ofcourse felt a bit too much and bridal too for a book launch but this is Sonam . Also note how fresh she looks here, this is kind of make up her Red carpet deserved.






It was dramatic structured to and skirt by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for chopard party . I like the styling here but the top itself isnt something i graviate to. But Sonam pulls this off with grace.



Did anyone miss an Anamika Khanna this time? I sure did. Over i have mixed feelings about Sonam at Cannes this year . Her last year was fabulous in comparison.

Katrina Kaif is known to play if classy and safe in her real life appearances and her look for the  'La Tete haute' premiere was definitely within her comfort zone. Iam not a fan of that gown , it isnt anything we havent seen before but Katrina carried it off well. For any other event this gown look would score high but this is Cannes and we expected a lot more from Ms Kaif.




For her second appearance at cannes Katrina stuck to her play safe mantra and chose a red Elie Saab gown. Wearing a red gown on the red carpet isnt a very good idea but Katrina Kaif does well here all thanks to the shade of red. Red middle parted sleek hair, Bright Red lips and a red belt finished out the second red carpet look for Katrina Kaif. That looks a whole lot of red but doesnt come across as overwhelming in reality. I will take this look over Kaifs Oscar De La Renta one anyday .  Her hair in this look gelled in well and the lace dress fits her perfectly. Although id definitely want to swap the red belt for metallic one . Overall this look is better than her black - grey one but this is still safe and lacks the punch!

Early on Katrina also attended a press meet in a Milly dress which was anything but safe. This really is the
look which had me expecting a lot from Katrina . Isnt this fresh and wow?


If you are wondering why katrina went into this event with her hair dyed burgundy, well this is apparently for her role in the upcoming movie Fitoor . But i dont get why Katrinas hair couldnt be dyed to her usual colour after all cannes is a very prestigious event right? She could always get her hair dyed red again. Also colours like golden and emerald would have worked better with that hair colour.
Overall i would have loved to tag Katrinas Cannes outing as Red Hot but sadly it is only for her hair . Katrina looked good, safe and unmemorable.   What do you think of Katrinas looks at the 68th Cannes film festival?

Her fashion choices again caused a stir when she turned up at 57th Cannes International Film Festival wearing a revealing Neeta Lulla gown.




2005

This year was special for Aishwarya as she was invited as the L’Oréal brand ambassador but also because she was provided the huge honour of opening the festival, also a first for an Indian.
Her Cannes outing in 2005 was a far cry from her first appearance at the French festival. She stepped out wearing a black Gucci gown with plunging neckline.




Aishwarya sported a floral gown by Giorgio Armani at the premiere of the film 'Match Point'.


2006
With passing years she became a permanent fixture at the Cannes red carpet,and wowed the snappers in a navy blue Elie Saab gown in 2006.

I am surprised she din’t give a miss to Cannes this year, she dropped by with hubby Abhiskek Bacchan in the midst of their honeymoon. Though she stayed just for a day, and even gave a miss to the screenings of her critically acclaim film Guru.

This year the whole bachchan family was spotted at Cannes. She looked adorable walking the carpet hand in hand with her hubby.



Aishwarya looked stunning in fuchsia Roberto Cavalli creation, which she teamed with diamond jewellery and a stone-studded clutch.

this year Aishwarya not only attended movie premieres with her husband Abhishek, but also took part in an event for social and humanitarian causes..

In this year Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the Opening Ceremony at the Palais des Festivals during the 64th Cannes Film Festival  wearing an one-shoulder, belted and intricately-beaded white gown.She was the picture of elegance !
She was a stunner in another Elie Saab one shoulder embroidered gown.
Next she cut a fine figure in a geometric Armani Prive dress with smokey eyes.





2012
2012 was the year, when Ash was criticised for her weight gain post pregnancy.And almost everything she wore this year was considered as a fashion disaster ! How mean ~!



2013

It was not only at the red carpet, but Aishwarya Rai's behind the scenes looks at Cannes were also a hit with the fashion critics.
While Aishwarya has always rocks western wear at Cannes, she disappointed with her choice of ethnic outfits. Aishwarya opted for a black lehenga-sari with golden embroidery by Sabyasachi with matching golden hair accessory. Aishwarya Rai's golden sari by Tarun Tahiliani was the worst dress at the Cannes red carpet.




2014:

She is back and how! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan showed the world she's totally worth it when she finally stepped onto the Cannes red carpet this time. Ash glittered in a gold Roberto Cavalli off-shoulder dress and a white glittery gown another from Roberto Cavalli ,Aishwarya silenced her critics as she sizzled on the red carpet.

All in all she looked gorgeous in all three of her appearances, but I do wish she had opted for at least one ethnic outfit to showcase at Cannes!
