Cannes 2015: Katrinas Red Hot Debut at Cannes

Katrina Kaif walked the Cannes Red carpet as a Loreal Brand ambassador in a black and grey Oscar De La Renta Gown. In her first appearance at Cannes Katrina sure cut an elegant picture in the strapless gown but her burgandy red hair felt very out of place taking this look notches down.

Katrina Kaif is known to play if classy and safe in her real life appearances and her look for the 'La Tete haute' premiere was definitely within her comfort zone. Iam not a fan of that gown , it isnt anything we havent seen before but Katrina carried it off well. For any other event this gown look would score high but this is Cannes and we expected a lot more from Ms Kaif.

For her second appearance at cannes Katrina stuck to her play safe mantra and chose a red Elie Saab gown. Wearing a red gown on the red carpet isnt a very good idea but Katrina Kaif does well here all thanks to the shade of red. Red middle parted sleek hair, Bright Red lips and a red belt finished out the second red carpet look for Katrina Kaif. That looks a whole lot of red but doesnt come across as overwhelming in reality. I will take this look over Kaifs Oscar De La Renta one anyday . Her hair in this look gelled in well and the lace dress fits her perfectly. Although id definitely want to swap the red belt for metallic one . Overall this look is better than her black - grey one but this is still safe and lacks the punch!

Early on Katrina also attended a press meet in a Milly dress which was anything but safe. This really is the
look which had me expecting a lot from Katrina . Isnt this fresh and wow?

If you are wondering why katrina went into this event with her hair dyed burgundy, well this is apparently for her role in the upcoming movie Fitoor . But i dont get why Katrinas hair couldnt be dyed to her usual colour after all cannes is a very prestigious event right? She could always get her hair dyed red again. Also colours like golden and emerald would have worked better with that hair colour.
Overall i would have loved to tag Katrinas Cannes outing as Red Hot but sadly it is only for her hair . Katrina looked good, safe and unmemorable. What do you think of Katrinas looks at the 68th Cannes film festival?

Who wore it better : Deepika or Katrina?

For the recently held L'Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2014 Katrina turned up in Atsu creation.A version of the same gown I remembered seeing on Deepika Padukone on Comedy nights with Kapil while promoting her film Ram leela. So when I googled her photos to confirm I Had to do this post .

Ram Leela Released last year so this gown pretty much is So last season, I don’t get why Katrina kaif opted for this gown when she has so many more latest fashion to turn to.

Both gowns are similar but not same. The bust of the gowns differ but the work on the neck and waist down it is same .

Katrina opted for Red lips, gold studs and a ponytail for her Red gown while Deepika also opted for gold studs , she added bracelets to her look and completed it with neutral make up.

I think the Hair do made all the difference here Deepika who wore her hair half up pinned style wins this round for me. But I have to add both actress do look beautiful in this Gown .

Who Wore What: L’Oréal Paris Femina Awards 2014

The third edition of the L'Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2014 which celebrates indian women achievers was held today and 15 women from different walks of life were awarded. Many Btown Divas were in attendance , lets get to see who wore What !

Sonam Kapoor: In Anamika khanna Sonam looked her radiant best. Her make up was perfect and I love the accessories she paired with this saree.

Neha Dhupia: Always high on fashion Neha dhupia did black and white for this event. She looked good but I hated her hair do making hjer look like a bald doll.

Katrina Kaif: Choosing a gown for this event was katrin a, while she looked her pretty self I was expecting her to experiment at this event. Glad that she dint leave her hair open like always. (BTW Deepika was wearing the same thing on comedy nights with kapil?)

Huma Quereshi: That pastel gown .Love. Huma carried it off well

Dia Mirza: she looked good in Neeta Lulla creation. Her make up wasn’t upto the mark me thinks.

Aishwarya Rai: Sticking to Sabyasachi was aishwarya , she looked okayish if you ask me. No change in hair style and well I cant find better photos of her. She dint walk the red carpet.

Who do you think dressed best at this event? Id make sonam Kapoor a winner . Oh and I love her bag.
