Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil Review

It's that part of the year when your hair needs the MOST care, especially is you are living in an urban suburb where your hair are exposed to a lot of harmful chemicals and to add on that the present climate!

In this and this post we introduced you all to what we Bling Sparklers have got recently besotted to. Oil is no doubt the best way to nurture your hair and keep them, rejuvenated, voluminous, shining and happy!

In the present market, there are unlimited choices when it comes to hair care oils and it's important that we understand what our hair actually need and make the right choice. This post is thorough introduction and review of the amazing Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut hair oil we have already discussed in our previous posts.

Packaging:
First things first! The packaging is what a persons's eyes fall on first and that is what play a very vital role. Seriously, you don't want oil dripping out of the bottle and stumbling all over the place once you have bought the product. Oil's something which can get real slimy and creepy when not packaged properly. So the first priority is packaging.

It has to be spill proof and sturdy and a little attractive would do no harm too!

The Dabur Vatika Coconut ++ hair oil comes in a sturdy bottle with a 'screw in' cap which fulfills all the above needs. It also has a firm plastic seal right on top to ensure extra protection. The look of the bottle is quite cute with green shades and coconut picture.

Pricing: 45 for 150ml
This is one of the best things of this product. Keeping in mind how effective it is, the pricing is a total seal deal!

Scent:
It smells great. The scent is not too overpowering but certainly mesmerizing. It smells of fresh coconut and a slight hint of almond. I love the smell!

Texture:
The texture is runny and liquid in all seasons. Unlike other coconut products where the texture gets solid during winter and liquid in Summer. This is truly a blessing as you don't have to pressurize the bottle during winters to get the oil out. Just keep it in a warm and dry place, not in a refrigerator. Lol.

WOW Ingredients:
It has Henna, which along with other herbs coats your hair & protects it from oxidation. It also has Amla which strengthens the roots of hair to help maintain their health and natural thickness and lemon which has an astringent action that controls the flow of sebum.

My Experience:
I am blessed with silky soft hair which are quite unpredictable and moody, just like me. I never want to cut them short and I hate it when split ends force me to go against my will. :( One of my friends suggested me this and I thought why not give it a try as I have heard a lot of good reviews about it and the pricing doesn't burn a hole in my wallet. So I gave it a go and I am glad I did so! I have used it for over a month now and I must say I am quite impressed. This amazing oil has managed to win my heart in a short time span. It's showing results which majority of the products I have tried till date couldn't.

To put it in short:

PROS:

The Dabur Vatika Coconut ++ hair oil prevents hair damage. It's regular application will make sure your hair grow strong and immune to pollutants and other damaging things.
It reduces Hairfall. When I was not using it, a huge bunch of my hair would fall on every stroke of comb. You can imagine how traumatic that is! Thanks to this amazing oil, hairfall has disappeared and my hair are back to their healthy state.
It keeps split ends at bay. Split ends force you to chop off your long and lush tresses. It really kills to take a hair cut just because your hair have got split ends! What I noticed was when I used this oil regularly, there was no trace of protruding split ends.
It keeps frizz at bay. Hair frizzing is another annoying thing which can cause skin irritation. The best way to fix it is nourishing your hair with oil and this hair oil by Vatika plays the best role here!
It is is enriched with Coco ++ which prevents hair breakage and nourishes hair making the strong. It's also famed to prevent hair greying.

CONS:

None!

It nourishes my hair within few minutes of the application and also helps me get rid of any head aches. Sitting in front of my laptop screen gives me stress and this oil helps me fight it like my warrior.

My hair fall has reduced considerably too! The texture of my hair has improved, not to mention the frizziness is gone. I simply love this product as it's the best you can get fro this price and actually it's quite better than its higher priced competitors!

Usage:
Apply regularly on scalp and hair.
For best results, massage and leave it on overnight.

Dove Hair Therapy- Daily Shine Shampoo Review

I have thin hair and face a lot of hairfall problems hence I am very selective when it comes to choosing the right shampoo for my hair. I was previously using Tresemme Shampoo but I wanted to give Dove hair therapy after watching a lot of their adds on Youtube.

The switching part is definitely the scary part where I imagine a billion things going wrong on shifting from one shampoo to other. But I am thankful that Dove daily shine hasn’t harmed my hair in anyway and has showed good results in the past few weeks of me using it.

Direction for Use:- Apply to wet hair, lather, rinse and repeat. For best results, use daily with Dove conditioner.

My experiences with Dove Daily Shine Shampoo

This shampoo turned out to be a nice one to wash off dirt and dust off my hair on a regular basis. I can say eversince I started using this shampoo I can see my hair actually shine ! yes ! And I ended up recommending it to my friends!

Fragrance: I love shampoos that leave a fragrance that would last for a few hours even after its rinsed off and dove daily shine is one such shampoo. It smells good!

Price: INR 420 for 650 ml. ( I bought it for a lower price of INR 378 on amazon.in ;))

Availability: Available at all online stores and local stores nearby my home.

Shelf Life: 36 months !

Packaging : I like it that it doesn’t have a flip cap as I hate it that I have to open up such a huge bottle everytime I want to shampoo my hair!

Pros:

1. Good for everyday use.

2. Nice fragrance

3. Awesome packaging

4. Priced reasonably

5. Easily available

6.Softer and shinier hair

7.No damage done to hair

8. No hairfall after using it

Cons:

1. Need a lot of the product to rinse off hair oil from hair. I had to use a lot more shampoo than I do to rinse off dirt and oil from my hair. Other than this I couldn’t find any con!

Hair are one of we women's most prized possessions! We all have seen everyone from tiny school girls to teenagers and old women fret about their hair. Women are besotted to aiming for gorgeous hair from a very young age.

It was my Grandma who instilled the love for long and strong hair in me.

When I was in high school, I had the best hair in my class and a lot of my classmates envied me. While some sulked in their misery, somewhere real outspoken and asked me for long hair tips and methods. I found there was not much to tell them as the only secret behind my hair was dedicated oiling!

Then when I moved to college, things took a different route. It was the age to explore and experiment and I found myself leaving my hair open all the time. What with all the studies and *ehem* extra hanging out with friends, I didn't find time to oil them regularly and attend to them.

All was fun and cool until one day when I was getting ready for my second year Send off party. While I was hurriedly combing my hair and trying one of my hairstyles, the hair fall was more than one could imagine. Several locks of my beautiful, precious hair came out with every stroke of comb and I was left staring at the mirror and the heap of hair in my hands. That's when I realized that my hair had were very damaged and they had lost their original thickness and luster.

I went to attend my Send off party with a latka huwa (sad) face and the joy and excitement of the day had just evaporated! That's when my Bestie(who has Jacqueline Fernandes Look-alike gorgeous hair) confronted me and asked me what was up. I confided in her, getting close to tears to which she simply hugged me and asked me not to worry. That was when she asked me the question which changed my bad hair days forever...

The beaches.. The holidays.. The endless ice creams and cool drinks.. The welcoming rays of the Sun.. Summer is here! So are the hundred hair and skin vows which every girl dreads.

It's that time of the year when your hair needs maximum protection as it's exposed to direct sunlight and body sweat which makes it very difficult to handle them.. especially if you have long hair!

A few days back I came across my girlfriends discussing short hairstyles in a Whatsapp group, the next thing you know, all of them had cut their hair short. I was devastated to witness this as all of them are prim South Indian beauties with gorgeous, thick, long black hair.

I myself have long hair (which I love to bits) so obviously I could understand why they took this step as I know how hard it is to manage long hair especially during summers and winters or for that matter, any time of the year!

The other day when I took almost an hour to get my hair done, much to the annoyance of my now short haired waiting friends, I saw all of them giving me the 'you-are-next-looks'.

I have been fond of long hair since the time I was a little girl. Thanks to the wonderful opportunity of being brought up in a joint family, I had the privilege of my Grandma always tending to my hair as if they were near and dear to her. Those days you didn't get these million options of hair oils which are available in the market today. My grandma used pure unpackaged coconut oil and it did a good job on my hair I must say.

My hair was brilliant until my high school but when I reached college the last thing I worried about was hair. Add the fact that I often kept my hair open to that and you know what happened next - my hair started getting weak and losing their luster.

It was the era of cosmetics budding every where and desperate to win my hair back, withouts having to do much, I started exploring all these products one by one.

While the majority of them didn't give any result, those which did, didn't last long and left shocking after effects which further affected my hair.

Hence, my search for a good hair oil which actually suits my hair type is still on. Or let's say it was on till yesterday.. not any more!

Dabur Vatika is one of the most trusted brands which I instantly fell in love with. I am a big fan of natural products which don't have much chemicals in them but still do their job. I found Dabur Vatika to be one such brand. I have used their other oil before and also their shampoo range and I must say they were quite effective.

Split ends need a check during the winters so make sure you chop them off... that's first step towards a happy hair season! Most of the beautiful ladies prefer short hair during winters, being a long hair lover I would never advise you to do that but can't agree more that it really helps if you are a working woman! The above hairstyle are best for a working day. That bun is not OTT yet pretty luscious at the same time! When your wearing you winter beanies then letting your hair down looks very pretty. The third hairstyle is pretty too. Short hair with hints of color are totally IN!

Be it summer or winter or for that matter any season, braids be the best! Nothing can beat the comfort level of braids. The above braids give you a gorgeous and funky look. Flowers simply add to the beauty of hair!

For Men:

If you have curly hair, it's time to experiment and try crazy hairstyles! The messy curly mushroom look is totally hot.

Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue shampoo and conditioner Review

I have dry skin and as if that was not enough I have very dry split end prone hair and to add to the problem list winter has arrived. The Schwarzkopf Professional range lands up at a right time on my door step promising me to rescue and repair my dry damaged hair.

I have been using the Shampoo and conditioner and the mask (which will be reviewed separately) duo from Schwarzkopf Bonacure Professional range fo about 2 months now and this I feel has been tested enough to bring you a detailed review.
Price and Quantity:
For shampoo – 750 INR for 250 ml
For conditioner - 750 INR for 200 ml
Shelf Life: 36 months
Range Reviewed: Bonacure Hair Therapy Repair Rescue
Packaging: Both the Shampoo and conditioner come in a white slender can with a red cap. I love this classy red-white packaging , it gives a very elegant feel especially because I haven't used shampoos packaged in a can before. The packaging is easy to use but not too travel friendly simply because it is big in size.

Fragrance: The best thing about this is the scent.I love the pleasant scent of both shampoo and conditioner which lingers on lightly for atleast 24 hours after use . If you love your products to be scented you should definitely give this a try
My Experience with the Bonacure Hair Therapy Repair Rescue Shampoo :

The shampoo is white in colour and has a pretty runny consistency . It foams well so a little bit is enough to clean dirt but if hair is oily two washes maybe necessary. In fact I have been using the same bottle for 2 months and there is atleast half of it still remaining .The best part about this shampoo is the smell which acts like therapy giving a feeling of being in a luxurious salon or spa. The after effects are amazing as my hair feels silky soft , smooth and manageable. My hair fall problems also seem to have gone with the wind after I started using this . This shampoo has also added much need shine to my dull hair. Iam totally loving this shampoo.
My Experience with the Bonacure Hair Therapy Repair Rescue Conditioner:

The conditioner which is also white is thicker in consistency and has the same fresh salon like scent. The shampoo as I said earlier does great job of adding shine and making my hair manageable so as such I don’t need a conditioner. But using this adds moisture to my hair and makes them shiny.
I have used the shampoo alone and I feel if you are using this shampoo you don’t need extra chemicals . This conditioner was needed when I started this range and my hair needed a lot of repair rescue but after a month I have stopped using the conditioner and have reserved it for occasional use when iam having real bad hair day and my hair needs deep conditioning.
Summing up the pros and cons of BC Repair Rescue Shampoo and conditioner Duo:
The goods:

Shampoo lathers well and only a little amount is required
Cleans hair well and makes it smooth and silky
reduces hair fall by a huge margin
Makes hair very manageable even if you don’t condition religiously
Delivers what it promises. Hair repair indeed and fast at that
Rich pleasant fragrance like the one you experience in salons. Bonus , it lingers for a day or two
Easily Available at salons and online.

The Bads:

The smell can be too over powering for sensitive noses
Pricey . On the higher side but totally worth it as the results really show

Hello lovelies!

If you remember reading my post on Bump its/ Volumizers, this post is going to be a kind of part two of the same! As a few of you wanted me to post the YouTube videos which I said really helped me learn all about Bumpits, here I am! But the point is I Googled my nuts out but still couldn't dig the YouTube video I had watched(which was awesome!) so instead I had to settle on another tutorial which is well, awesome too!

Bump it! Volumizers review

I was on the look out for a few sturdy hairstyling products which will help me do some pretty hairstyles and I am really glad I bought these Bump its!

Out of all the wonderful things a girl can try to create different hairstyles, Bumpits or volumizers score on the top! They affect they give is very pretty and totally satisfactory!

I bought this set of volumizers from Ebay.in. Ebay offers almost everything! I was stunned to learn that even the bigie websites like Flipkart and Myntra didn't sell bumpits but Ebay does! I was really elated when I placed my order as I was very very curious to try these for the first time! :D

As usual the shipping from Ebay took a while but when it arrived it made me real happy! The packaging was neat, no damages(Thank God!) Now it was time to try these in reality.

I started with one of the tiny ones. I watched a few very helpful Youtube videos on 'How to use Bumpits' before using them and learnt that it was so simple!

The Result: I LOVED IT! Yup! I have thin sleek hair and this bump it really added the much needed bump in the front and it looked Oh so chic!

These come in sponge versions too but I advise you to skip those and buy these thorny ones instead because these hold your hair better and stay put on your hair like FOREVER!

The pack I bought includes five bumpits of different sizes which you can choose according to the amount of volume you desire. The first three will look great in the front but the bigger two will look best for adding volume at the back/tip of your head!.

They above is the small slip tutorial which came along with the product. Doesn't help much so I would advise you to watch a good Bump it Youtube video instead! They come in a number of colours from black, brown, mahogany to blonde. You should buy the colour which matches your hair.

Price: I bought it from Ebay for 250/- (There was an offer going on. Cool na! :D) There are many brands and the price varies. You have many choices!

Any Cons?: I advise you to be careful when you wear these as the hair holding thorns are quite sharp and if by mistake you hit your head, it'll REALLY hurt!

Bling Sparkle Verdict: All in all its a totally amazing product girls. Its very easy to put and really looks amazing on your hair. It's my best hairstyle tool now. If yo have thin hair then you should really go for this. If you have voluminous hair than also you should go for this as it can really define your hairstyle! I love love love it!
Leave all those doubts aside and go for it like NOW!

I have been wanting to review Dove Elixir since ages, ~~never got the tim~~e I was too busy and the pictures I had clicked lay hidden and forgotten in some folder I found yesterday , so here I am with another review :)

I din’t even read reviews before buying this, so good was the packaging! One look at the beautiful rose petals glistening from the see through glass and I knew I wanted this one!

Never mind the claims , I only wanted this to be a part of my beautiful collection ;) But It is just more than attractive packaging ! Dove elixir may not reduce hairfall but hey it oils hair like no other hair oil ! Light on the hair, pocket friendly and smells some like heaven! Plus it does help in detangling your hair so much more easily ! Read on to know more about this beauty!

My Views on Dove Elixir with rose and Almond oil.

It consists of almonds and rose petals which are too real found at the bottom of the glass bottle! Much to my surprise the oil i bought finished up within a period of 40 days ! The only difficulty I had was using the pump dispenser on the top to remove hair oil from the bottle ,I’ll tell you what if you are the type who gets irritated to pump a bottle 10 15 times to get small quantities of oil every time you pump this is definitely NOT a good buy !Also i had to be very careful as its made of glass one slip, one tug and all of my money would go down the drain. You can see dried rose petals at the bottom of the bottle , I am sure they don’t do much to extend the quality of the hair oil but are present to add to the beauty of the product !
Its sweet fragrance, lightweight nature and the fact that I could use it as a hair styler oil on dry hair to keep my hair intact I think I am in total awe of this product. Brownie points for this hairoil as boosts the shine of my hair :D

Www.BlingSparkle rating: 3.5/5 ( What use it the good packaging if its difficult for us to remove oil from a hair oil product , so yeah ripped off the 1.5 for that ;)

Recommendation : I loved the product but it contains mineral oil and silicones which I have no problems with but you are hair conscious and hate silicones skip this. Other than those who love a bit of fragrance and light weight oil for regular usage go for it :)

Will I repurchase ? Why not? I am quite patient when it comes to beautiful things *bates eyelashes* :P So even if the product hanged , like pumping out oil from the product stopped i would buy it to add beauty to my hair keeping sec in my wardrobe :P.

Haul: Pretty hair accessories!

You know that feeling when you are in a bad mood and a simple haul of pretty things magically brightens your mood and releases your stress? Well, a few days back something like this happened with me. One time I was furious and agitated and the other time, my anger had melted and before we know, I was chirpily roaming around the whole house trying out all these pretty clips and hairbands. When someone told money can't buy happiness, they just didn't know where to look for it! *winks*

We sisters hauled these pretty hair accessories from a nearby mall and couldn't stop ourselves from sharing the news with you all! :) Each piece of accessory is to die for. The little sparkling studs on them add that extra oomph factor. We love!
