Nivea Lip Butter In Raspberry Rose Review .
November 08, 20150 Comments

Nivea lip butter

I have tried a lot of lip balms that have butter in them but a lip balm exclusively made and feels like butter from Nivea was a must try and I bought this one 4 months back and ever since I have been using it daily and here’s the review!

Nivea

I bought this online on flipkart along with caramel which I’ll be reviewing later. This is my favorite flavour among the lip butters as it leaves a light pink tint on lips!

This cutie comes in a tin packaging and consists of shea butter and almond oil which are great for moisturizing lips. The best part of this lip butter is their smell, so sweet! Raspberry rose  smells a lot like light rose along with tinges of raspberry, not artificial at all. I am sure many of them will lobe this for its smell!

These are easily portable and travel friendly. Packaged in small round tin tubs they are easy to open and close. Very helpful during winters when lips are chapped the most. The texture is thick but light when applied on the lips.

Beauty review

Cute lip balms

Lip butter

Price: INR 189 for 16.7 g

Availability : Easily available at local drug and beauty stores and online shopping portals.

Pros:

1.Decent protecting of lips during winters

2. Moisturizes chapped lips

3. Travel friendly packaging

4.Reasonable pricing.

5. Sweet smell

6. Comes in different flavours

7.Easily available

BlingSparkle.com rating : 4/5

It’s a lip balm I recommend everyone who loves sweet lip balms that actually protect lips from chapping!

Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Over The Top Review
February 23, 20150 Comments
Today iam going to review my favorite budget lipstick shade over the top from colorbar velvet matte range.  I love it as it suits  my skin tone superbly and is when applied lightly it is a close MLBB shade for me.
colorbar velvet matte lipstick over the top review
Price and Quantity: 299 INR for 4.2 gm.
Shade Being reviewed : Over The Top 1
colorbar velvet matte lipstick over the top review 2
Packaging: The colorbar velvet matte range doesnt boast of classy packaging but for the price  a simple plastic packaging with transparent cap is good. The lipsticks come with coloured end so you can locate it easily.
The Shade: This shade is anything but over the top, no idea who named this beautiful bright coralish pink lipstick as over the top. This shade instantly brightens up my face and appears pinkish brown . I  apply it lightly to make it look like MLBB shade .  I cant really describe the true colour of this shade as it tends to look different every time  i wear it.  Over the Top will suit most indian skin tones and medium and dark skin tones can easily pick it up.
Texture and Pigmentation:  The lipstick is creamy and glides easily on lips. It gives a matte finish but isnt drying but i do recommend a lip balm underneath as this lipstick will not moisturize your lips one bit. It fades evenly after about 4 hours of application and never settles in fine lines. The pigmentation is amazing and one swipe is enough to hide my pigmented lips.
Staying Power: The staying power of this lipstick is very impressive especially since it is priced so low. It easily lasts 5 hours on my lips with light snacks in between.
colorbar velvet matte lipstick over the top review 3
Pros:
  • Good staying power of 5+ hours
  • Versatile shade which will suit most indian skin tones
  • creamy texture and amazingly pigmented
  • simple packaging with colored ends
  • easily available online
  • value for money for the quality offered
  • semi matte finish but not  drying
Cons:
  • Packaging could have been better
  • The stain is difficult to remove
 BlingSparkle Rating: ★★★★/5
Verdict: As i mentioned in the start of the review this is my favorite budget lipstick and i have only good things to say about this. This coralish earthy pink will look good on all indian skin tones and is priced nicely. If you are looking for a budget deep MLBB kind of lipstick please do give this one a try.
Will i Repurchase?: Definitely, this is one shade i lovvvvvvve! Also i will trying more shades from this range soon, Bare is on top of my list

Beauty Obsession : Lip Crayons + Peek into my Collection
January 14, 20150 Comments
Lip Crayon obsession, My collection
The latest trend in lip products are lip crayons. What are they? Somewhere between a lip gloss and a lipstick they are packed in cute crayon forms and the best part with them is the ease of application
Lip Crayon obsession, My collection
I was introduced to them when  Clinique launched the Chubby sticks . The chubby sticks were priced really high and the not-so-great reviews meant I wasn’t getting them. Everything changed with the launch of just bitten balm stains by Revlon.  Revlons Lip crayons were priced pretty decently and had amazing staying power and colour pay off and I rushed get myself my first lip crayon In Rendezvous. I was amazed at how convenient they were to use , no lip brush or a lip liner was required and yet I got a bright even finish which wasn’t too gloopy like a gloss. Then began my obsession as I went on to buy more crayons in adore, darling, love sick, romantic and dint stop there. I ventured into other brands and brought a Loreal glam gloss and an Oriflame lip Impact crayon too.
Lip Crayon obsession, My collection

Lip Crayon obsession, My collection
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Crush
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Rendezvous
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Darling
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Adore
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Lovesick
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Romantic
L'Oreal Paris Balm Shine Balmy Gloss in Pomegranate Punch
Oriflame Lip Impact crayon in pink Impact

My Favorite ones still are Revlon Just bitten balm Stains which though are a bit pricey at 700 but they are totally worth the money giving an amazing staying power of around 6 hours and having 10 wearable shades to choose from. They arent very moisturizing so don’t think of them as a substitute to your lip balms.

Lip Crayon obsession, My collection

Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Rendezvous is pure orange . This is my first orange lip colour and I love it but don’t realy use it much. If you want to try out an orange lip this could be your pick.,
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Darling is a light purlish pink which is perfect for everyday wear for soft make up look
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in adore is a brown with red undertones which will suit all indian skin tones. Minty feel, glossy finish, amazing staying power , sleek packaging whats not to like? This is my most used crayon and  I recommend this gorgeous shade to everyone
.
Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Lovesick is a fushcia pink which is not suitable for warm tones beauties. Fair skinned girls will love this
Lip Crayon obsession, My collection

Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Crush is a Dark burgandy shade. Crush also could be addressed as a deep plum and has the most staying power. Not a favourite with me as I hate dark colours but if you like deep plums you should try this. This definitely will suit a great range of skin tones and makes for a great winter lip colour

Revlon Just Bitten balm stain  in Romantic is a red with orange undertone. It will suit most indian skin tone and can be wore anywhere . another gorgeous shade I recommend to all. If you want to start with wearing red, romantic is your answer.

The LOreal Paris Balm shine Balmy gloss in Pomegranate Punch is a glossy maroon with some shimmer in it. This doesn’t have a very good staying power (about 2 hours)  but is very moisturizing and decently pigmented. It is priced just right at 400 INR and if you want to experiment with lip crayons this is the range to start from.

Oriflame Lip Impact Crayon in Pink Impact is a mauve glossy pink which is priced at 350 (could be brought for even less) . Frankly this was a huge disappointment for me as the crayon is too soft and melts away faster than. Add to it the need of sharpening and a not very impressive staying power of around 3 hours. I wouldn’t recommend this one even for the price. I actually use a lip brush to dig in product and apply on my lips as the normal jumbo  sharpener cant sharp it!

Why Am I obsessed with Lip Crayons?
  • Ease Of Use: I can apply it even without a mirror. A swipe and iam done. No need of a lip brush or lip pencil
  • Packaging: The packaging both cute and travel friendly. Adorably compact they are fun to use
  • Bid Bye to Sharpeners: There is no wastage because of sharpening as these crayons come in a twist up packaging. (But the oriflame one does need to be sharpened)
  • All in One gloss cum balm cum lipstick: Lip Crayons are the best thing of all lip products packaged into one. They are very moisturizing , stay for long and add decent colour too.
Other lip Crayons you could try (Also on my wish list )
  • Colorbar Take Me As I Am Stick Rs 800
  • Lakme Absolute lip Tints – Rs 900
  • Clinique Chubby Stick - Rs 1,300
  • Max Factor Colour Elixr Giant Pen Stick- Rs 675
  • Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - Rs 785.
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Balm
  • NYX jumbo pencil
  • Inglot Matte Lip Crayons
  • Revlon colour burst Laquer Balms and Matte balms
Have you tried Lip Crayons yet? Which ones are your favourite?

Stay Beautiful

Lotus Herbals Lip Gloss In Plum Delight Review
September 08, 20140 Comments

When it comes to lip products I love using lotus Herbals because they are 100% vegetarian and I tend to lick of a lot of product so this helps . Today iam reviewing a very classy lip gloss shade in Plum Delight from lotus herbals Pure stay range . I love these lip glosses for its texture, staying power and Affordability.

100_7590

Price: 395 INR

Quantity : 8gm

Shelf Life: 36 months

Shade Reviewed: Plum Delight

Active Ingredients : Evening Primrose Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Vitamin E.

Packaging: The PureStay range of glosses have a very classy rectangular tube type transparent packaging while the screw cap wand is opaque with a metallic finish. It is very travel friendly and light weight to carry around. I personally Love the packaging and think it is Uber stylish.

Fragrance: It has very mild pleasant floral kind of fragrance which will not bother any sensitive noses

The Shade Plum delight is creamy maroonish purple which gives fuller and plumped lips when applied. It can be applied on its own or even over a lipstick .

The Texture of the gloss is  thick and a wee bit sticky giving a very lustrous glossy finish. The Gloss is well pigmented and has an impressive staying power of around 3-4 hours after which it fades off leaving a beautiful tint behind. I have dry lips but the gloss isnt drying in anyway but I do need to hydrate my lips after this fades away.

The doe foot applicator picks right amount of product and glides easily on the lips.

The Gloss can be worn sheer or built up for more colour and it can easily cover pigmented lips which my favorite thing about this . This particular Shade ink Delight is has very fine shimmer which is barely visible on lips and this shade will suit most indian skin tones.

MUA Intense kisses lipgloss in 'Lips are sealed' review
August 22, 20140 Comments
If there is any range of glosses which is perfect right from the quality they offer to the irresistible quirky names then it has to be the 'Intense Kisses' range by MUA!

"Lips are sealed" What a quirky name for a gloss! MUA you won my heart here!

Everything from the 'Intense kisses' tag to the chic lipstick marked packaging is appealing about this range of glosses from MUA.

I had read raving reviews of this range all around the Internet and I was eager to try this range out. When I finally got my hands on one of these glosses - I was impressed!
Price:£2.00 for 5.1ml

'Lips are sealed' is a lovely 'Pink' everyday wear shade which can instantly add drama to your lips.
As I said, the colour is very wearable on an everyday basis and its not too dark for you to shy out of wearing it. It has almost invisible shimmers which do a real great job in givng your lips the much needed sparkle.
The glosses(all the shades) are irresistible and the cute packaging makes it more alluring. When you roll open the gloss, a mild, bubblegum-ish fragrance greets you. The smell is not very harsh on your nose, it's calming and real mild.
It's one of my favorite glosses now!
PROS:
*Packaging is superb
*Gives a glossy semi-shimmery finish
*Just one swatch gives your lips a translucent coverage. The pigmentation can be built up.
*Very light. Doesn't feel heavy on your lips!
*Stays for a good 3-4 hours with snacks in between.
*Fades naturally leaving back a faint girlish pink tint which you'll love!
*Not so sticky!
*I think I can pay more than what its price actually is!
*This shade can work for beauties of all skin tones!

CONS:
*The only con is its availability. If you go buying it in Jabong or any such website, you'll have to pay thrice the more price >_<. But you can buy it from MUA's online website. Look out for offers and buy when they have sales and amazing discounts for international customers!

Bling Sparkle Verdict: 'Lips are sealed' gloss by MUA is an amazing everyday shade of  pink gloss with a decent staying power and coverage packed at an unbelievable price! I totally recommend these beauties to you all! It can work for girls with pigmented lips too. It looks good on beauties with all types of skin tones! All in all, it's a superb gloss! Just go for it!

Stay kissed,
~Bushra

Trend Talk: Ombre Lips. Love
July 17, 20140 Comments
Hello everybody this is my firs post on Blingsparkle and iam very excited and i hope you enjoy reading my posts too.

I love all things ombre . These days ombre is high on trend from hair colour, clothings, Décor, nails to lips.

For starters on fashion front Ombre is a French term meaning ‘Shaded’ . It refers to graduation of color from dark to light, or vice versa.

Ombre lips involves lipsticks in different coloured skillfully applied with lighter colours in centre and darker colour around the lip edges. This trend not only makes lips look fuller it also gives it a 3D kind of effect to them. Getting an Ombre lip right requires a lot of practice but if you are good with creating looks with eye shadows this shouldn’t be a tough drill.
Ombre Lips is pretty daring if you ask me and I wouldn’t try it until there something like a fancy dress or something. Actually iam sure I would never be able to skillfully  make an ombre lip on myself, it would require loads of practice but some yummy ombre lip tutorials on beauty blogs are urging me to try one like NOW! There are some really subtle ombre lips and I would soon be giving it a try just inside the four walls of my home to see how it goes!
If you are in the mood to try something offbeat and make a mark this definitely is the trend for you. But make sure you keep the styling and rest of make up minimal when trying the ultra bold ombre lips.

So, what say ?Is ombre lips your thing??

Classics Pearl shine Lipgloss Review
June 12, 20140 Comments
Every girl should own a pretty everyday ear red and while I am not a fan of lipsticks, I am glad I have found my HG everyday wear Red lipgloss!

I have had PATHETIC experiences with the brand Classics(immoral rates, poor quality and what not) but this gloss was like a breath of fresh air!

The gloss looks quite opaque in the container but in reality its very sheer(see swatch below). I think its a good thing, as I wouldn't wear it on an everyday basis if it was opaque!

The staying power is a bit impressive when compared to other glosses in this price range.
It has a sweet mild aroma and the cute punch of red looks really pretty on the lips!

Price: Rs 399/-
Weight:12gm

It reminds me of a balm I used to use in my college days, the only difference being the balm was around 30-50 bucks and this gloss is 500/-!

The packaging is cute but the writing fades off after a while. The list of ingredients is all there on the box.
I bought this from Limeroad.Com. You can go for this gloss, its real pretty but my sincere advice to you would be: Avoid buying any other product from the brand Classics! The quality they offer is really not fair for the pricing - You will be disappointed!
BlingSparkle Rating: 3.5/5
Verdict: A decent every day wear gloss, one of the best products from the Classics brand!

Stay Gorge,

Nivea Hydro Care Lip Balm Review
May 29, 20140 Comments
I have dry lips like I have been mentioning repeatedly in my posts and lip balms are ultra essential for me. I finished my Nivea fruity shine lip balm some time back and couldn’t find it in stock so I picked up another balm from Nivea known as hydro care
100_6579
Price : 145 INR

Nivea Hydro Care lip balm comes in a light blue twist up tube which is both hygienic and travel friendly. The balm is transparent , glides smoothly and adds nice natural sheen to lips. The texture is light weight and it moisturizes and hydrates my dry lips nicely.
I find this balm more moisturizing than the Nivea fruity shine balm but this adds no colour to lips. I have a feeling this balm kind of reduces the pigmentation of my lips a little bit and I love this balm for that as I have very pigmented lips.
 100_6578
Yays:
  • Moisturizes and hydrates lips leaving them soft and smooth
  • Affordable
  • Travel friendly and hygienic packaging
  • Mild scent
  • Easily available
  • Light weight
Nays:
  • May not heal very Dry chapped lips
Rating: ****/5

Verdict: It works great on my dry lips and I just love its light weight formula. Wish this had some colour, but I love it anyway. Id recommend this to all those looking for a colorless moisturizing lip balm.

What Tips and Toes Says:
The new Hydrarich Lipstick loves your lips with lusciousness and style. Explore creamy colors that caress the sensuous curves of your pout and delight in a medley of lustrous hues.
Every girl should own a nude lipstick which suits her shade.

Tips and Toes lipstick in the shade 'Ginger' is a lovely peachy nude shade which seemingly blends into my skin tone and evens out the little flaw lines in my lips.

I use it as a base for all my sheer glosses or just apply it for a nude make up feel teamed with kohled eyes.

Texture: The texture is creamy and light weight. Doesn't feel heavy on your lips! Just one swipe is enough to thoroughly cover all your lips.

Staying Power: It lasts for a good 3-4 hours without meals in between of course.

3.Bleeds!

PRICE: 350 INR
Verdict: I am in LOVE with the packaging ^_^. This lipstick is one of the best range of lipstick by Tips and Toes. Give these beauties(in good shades) a try and I am sure you will love them! :)

BlingSparkle Rating: 4/5 (-1 for the pathetic shade ^_^)

Everyday Staples - Glam Up!
February 04, 20140 Comments
Be it summers, be it winters, glamming up has its own charm and it doesn't require any occasion! Here are some every day staples which every woman should own!
  • A classy clutch - Clutch is an important staple. It instantly glams up an outfit and acts as a women's best friend. So owning a good, classy clutch is always important.
  • An effective lip balm - Winters or summers, a good lip balm with some SPF and lots of protection is a must! Nivea fruity lip balm is my favorite as it not only soothes my lips but also gives them a beautiful tint! Tinted lip balms are 'IN' this season <3
  • A beautiful cocktail Ring - It always adds that extra oomph to any outfit, hence, it shouldn't be missed!
  • A long lasting lip stain - Revlon is my fav! It lasts for hours together... There are lovely lip stain available in the market today, you can choose a good one from the wide range.
  • A smell good feel good perfume for indoors
  • Long stay Kohl - Nothing brightens your face instantly then a dab of kohl, and to ensure your eyes don't end up looking like a Panda's after applying kajal, use a good anti-spread one! Lakme eyeconic is my fav!
  • Compact - This is another thing which will help you control your oil level.
  • Minimum coverage foundation - I think the best minimum coverage foundation is lakme invisible finish. My skin is young and I don't prefer treating it to heavy chemicals, hence, a medium coverage foundation will do for me.
